From Provo to Houston =>

So, Thursday morning, June 13th we set out from Provo to Houston. We made a three day trip out of it so we could stop a see a few places and all the country in between.
One of the first places we stopped at was the Monticello Utah temple. It was a pretty, little temple sitting out in the beautiful country side.
This was a great time for Jared to run around and stretch his legs, and of course he wanted to stop and look at the bugs and flowers.
Ryan lounging at the temple.

Soon after that we entered into Colorado, we headed down to the Four Corners Monument, some where I've always wanted to go.
The land the monument is on is Navajo land so it is owned, or at least run, by the Navajo Nation, so we had to pay them a small fee before we could enter.
The monument marked each country and the point at which they all met. The monument read "Here Meet Four States In Freedom Under God."
Jared ran a couple circles around, through the states with Ryan and I.
Entering Arizona and soon leaving it to New Mexico.
Entering New Mexico!

We spent our first night at a hotel in Albuquerque, where we went swimming, had dinner, and went to sleep. This is Jared in the morning, sleeping, while Ryan and I were getting ready to go.
Leaving New Mexico, on to Texas!
On Friday, we traveled from Albuquerque, through the top part of Texas, to Oklahoma City.
Though we didn't have any fun stops to make on the second day, it was still fun to see the country side in northern Texas and Oklahoma.
We really enjoyed how green and beautiful the country side was going through Oklahoma; beautiful farm country.
We spent the night in Chickasha, OK and once again, swam, at dinner, and crashed. Jared had fun making some friends at the pool; they ended up giving their inflatable alligator to Jared. =)
Jared was pretty content during most of the drive. He had his bag of toys to play and his books to look at, plenty of snacks, and his blanket to keep him company, so he was a pretty happy traveler; and taking lots of naps helped.
The third day, Saturday, seemed like the longest because we knew it was the last and we'd finally be in Houston. We drove down almost straight south through Oklahoma and on to Dallas and then the long drive from Dallas to Houston. At about 4:30pm CST we arrived at our apartment complex, West Eighteenth, in Houston. Three days and about 1500 miles later, we were home and in Houston!
