We had a pretty fun Christmas day. We took the morning slow and joined everyone (Karl, Lesle, Bradon, Virginia, and Virgina's family) while they were opening their presents. I took pictures for Virginia's mom
(Coreen, I think) while everyone was opening their presents. They were a really nice family. We had a few presents from Karl and Lesle, but the rest we had already opened, so far, before Christmas.
From Karl and Lesle we got the movie Virginia's in, "Saints and Soldiers: Air Borne Cree," signed by Virginia. Jared got a sing-a-long book that had a button to push on every page to make it sing. Jared loved it.
After opening presents and having a delicious dutch oven breakfast, we got dressed and ready to go to the Jacobs. At the Jacobs, we ate some good food and opening presents. Jared had a fun playing with his cousins again. Rachel was very sweet to him and invited him to come sit by her on the hearth. Later, when she was laying down by Aunt Roni, she invited Jared to come lay by them.
We got some fun things. My parents gave me a new cook book that I could write my favorite recipes in, some soft slipper-socks, and nice frame that had a spot for a picture of Jared for each month up until 12-months-old. Ryan got some hot cocoa. They gave Jared a giant puppy-coloring book, some mittens, a couple new outfits, and a really soft Santa blanket. Roni (the queen of accessories) gave me a really pretty head band.
After opening presents and dishing up food, we settled down to relax and watch a movie. Little Kaydee took a nice nap on Grandma Mary's shoulder. They looked so sweet. We were grateful to be near loved ones on this special day and we're especially grateful for our Savior and the life and light he brings.
