After being at the hospital for two and a half days, we were finally allowed to leave. Ryan spent the night that last night and helped Emmaline and I pack up to leave the following morning. The outfit we had set out for her originally as her take-home outfit ended up being too big for her, so Ryan brought a small cozy pair of pajamas. So, this was her first outfit, and she looked so cute and cuddly in it.

Then Ryan put her in her car seat for the first time and I adjusted the straps down for her. Leaving the hospital, Emmaline's weight was 8 lb 6 oz. It was so good to be going home. My first meal after leaving out of the hospital was, thanks to Mark and Kris, at a Chinese buffet!

A day after being home we had a visitor! Kristina, the lady who helped me deliver Emmaline. Come to find out she had never in her 16 years of serving as an EMT delivered a baby or been on a call where a baby was delivered. Thankfully this delivery was uncomplicated and we were both healthy and okay! I guess there was a lot talk about it at the station and they were all wondering how the baby was doing, so she came to find out. It was nice to visit with her a little and have Emmaline get a picture with her.

The boys were very excited to have their sister home. Jared was very sweet with her, and gentle. I was a little worried about how Karl would do, but for the most part he followed Jared's example of being nice and gentle. They both took turns every day getting to hold her.

I got Emmaline dressed up in her first dress for her first doctor's
appointment. She looked like such a beautiful little girl!! At this
visit she was now 8 lb 10 oz and doing very well.
